History Designed by Wren 1670-83. The interior was restored after war damage in 1964 by Lawrence King. This church is famous for the Norman Crypt (circa 1090) and the "Court of Arches", an Ecclesiastical Law Court from that time where Bishops' Elections were also confirmed. The Church itself has a light modern interior with new stained glass.
